![]() The soul blade Lucan stole had an intelligence and will of its own, and it quickly conquered Lucan’s will. Lucan succeeded, slaying several guards in the process, but once again found himself in over his head. She ordered him to steal a mysterious magic sword from one of the Citadel’s vaults. After interrogating Lucan, Calderus sent her new minion on his first mission. That was Lucan’s last mistake as a human-Calderus easily defeated the interloper and turned him into a vampire. A month ago, an enterprising agent of the Citadel of Breland named Lucan Stellos discovered Calderus’s spy network and traced it back to its source. This network serves as the eyes, ears, and hands of Calderus she rarely leaves her hidden crypt. ![]() Calderus is an ancient psionic vampire of fell power who rules a network of enslaved vampires and dominated pawns. Far beneath the towers of Sharn lies a crypt with a resident who, though dead, still wields influence in the City of Towers. Now the nations compete through cloak-and-dagger escapades instead of outright battle. Every nation spies on its neighbors, and some say the Last War never really ended-only the method of conflict changed. The end of the Last War hasn’t brought an end to the rivalry between the nations of Khorvaire. If the characters have already gone through Shadows of the Last War (the first adventure in a three-part series), this adventure continues that story line. To get the most out of this adventure, you need copies of the following D&D books: Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, Monster Manual, and the EBERRON Campaign Setting. With minor adjustments to encounters, this adventure can handle groups of adventurers smaller or larger than four as well. When a Brelish spy defects and takes a potent magic item with him, a race ensues to recover both before the fragile balance of power in postwar Khorvaire tips in the wrong direction. This adventure sends a party of four 4th-level characters on a mission fi lled with danger and intrigue. Take advantage of the RPGA’s Player Rewards Program by scoring points with this adventure. A player needs only the EBERRON Campaign Setting and the Player’s Handbook. To use this adventure, a Dungeon Master also needs the EBERRON Campaign Setting, Setting, the Player’s Handbook™, Dungeon Master’s Guide™, and Monster Manual™. Designed to challenge 4th-level D&D® heroes, it hurls them across the continent of Khorvaire with action-packed overland and aerial travel. Whispers of the Vampire’s Blade™ is a stand-alone adventure for the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS® game that will immerse your characters in the EBERRON™ campaign setting. As the slippery agent flees flees across Khorvaire, only the most relentless heroes will stay on the intrigue-laced trail and capture their target. Pursuing the fugitive are operatives from a number of other factions intent on recovering the traitor, his stolen weapon, or both. A Brelish spy has vanished with a powerful magic sword.
