The remake has also done a lot for the game, giving new life to characters and environments, making them shine and feel alive (even if cartoony). Unfortunately, in my experience with sharing these titles with my nephews, they don’t have the patience for them like myself and my siblings did. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but compared against other Spyro games that have since come out, this trilogy isn’t the best set of games.īut that said, there’s challenges in them, and while they’re not overtly difficult, some them can be quite tedious to complete. The environments at times are very empty, which were a limitation of the hardware of its time, and in that sense, the remakes are very faithful to the originals. It’s a fairly basic 3D platformer/adventure game, and the somewhat shallow mechanics from the era do show. I bought this game because it was a nostalgic group of games from my childhood. Turn up the heat in this adventure by exploring the mysterious realms and completing outrageous challenges, such as pulling off sick tricks on a skateboard and stepping into a boxing ring. In this adventure, Spyro powerflames, supershots and headbashes his way through enemies while completing unique challenges such as herding strange beasts, target shooting and defeating ravenous dinosaurs."
